Accommodating up to 14 guests in 7 spacious rooms—six with en-suite bathrooms—the Karoo Queen blends elegance with excitement. From tranquil sunrises over the dam to starlit evenings on deck, this is more than just a getaway; it’s an unforgettable experience.
On the Karoo Queen, we have various options available to accommodate everyone’s requirements. Whether you just need overnight accommodation in the harbour, before taking on the road again, wanting to celebrate a special occasion, or experience then best the Gariepdam has to offer with a few nights cruising the dam, we’re sure we can accommodate your needs.
Two options: Fully catered / Self-catering
The Ultimate Karoo Experience. What can be better than cruising on a luxury Houseboat on South Africa’s Largest Dam. The Karoo Queen offers the ultimate experience where you get to cruise, dock on an island with the most beautiful natural scenes from where you can take part in various activities. Not just can you enjoy the water’s safe from crocodiles and hippos, but you get to stay overnight, away from the rush of your daily life. You can choose to do a self-catering cruise or let us spoil you to a fully catered cruise, so you can just sit back, have fun and relax!
What’s included:
2 – 3 hours cruise to the island, accommodation on-board, all non-motorised water activities, such as kayaking, stand-up paddle boards, fishing. Crew to assist with some duties.
On the fully catered option you get all of the above plus, we include all meals, from your welcome to drink and arrival snacks, afternoon bar snacks, 3-course dinner, tea/coffee station through out the cruise, full English breakfast, all non-motorised water-sports, 1 sunset champagne cruise on a yacht when booking 2 nights.
